About NWERC 2009
Welcome to the website of the Northwestern European Regional Programming Contest (NWERC) 2009, to be held in November. NWERC 2009 will be hosted by the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen-Nuremberg.
NWERC 2009 is integrated in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. It draws students from colleges and universities throughout Belgium, Netherlands, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany. The winner team will advance to the ACM Programming Contest World Finals, where it will compete with students selected in other regional contests, from all continents.
ACM ICPC Contest
The contest is a two-tiered competition among teams of students representing institutions of higher education. Teams first compete in regional contests held around the world from September to November each year. The winning team from each regional contest qualifies to advance to the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals, typically held the following March to mid-April. Additional high-ranking teams may be invited to the World Finals as wild card teams.
